As the traffic intensity increase on the day to day life, based on the important connectivity from Thanjavur to Kumbakonam and Saliamangalam to Papansam Road, K.Parasuraman MP, submitted to a proposal to Highway Minister regarding widening from Single to intermediate Lane and strengthening Left Bank of Vennar Palliagraharam-Kalanchery Road KM 1/16-16/8(ODR). Due to his continuous hard work, the proposal of the scheme on RCRF has been sanctioned this year 2017-2018.

K.Parasuraman, Member of Parliament submitted the proposal to Central Government regarding the new Post Office Building in Orathanadu Peruratchi at Thanjavur District, due to the post office has been functioning in Orathanadu 100 years ago as the rented building.
